Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

If a user has a meta description, and content in the long and short product description, the schema product outputs the content in the short product description

NOTES
WooCommerce SEO plugin has no effect.

WP: 5.1.1
Yoast SEO: 11
WooCommerce: 3.6.1

Describe the solution you'd like

Output the Product Long Description for the Product Schema when short product description is added

OR

Output the custom meta description into both blocks of schema.

User suggests

Why don't you add a personalized field where we can choose the value by our
own? I mean, a field in woocommerce SEO, like the existing one "brand" and
"producer", as DESCRIPTION and we can choose the value SHORT DESCRIPTION or
LONG DESCRIPTION?

why you think the feature request is something we should consider for the Yoast SEO plugins?

I tried this solution, but after deleting the short description, nothing appeared. the description field is empty.https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fsimbashopping.com%2Fprodotto%2Fbiliardino-calcio-balilla-top-class%2F. can you please to check if it the right solution? Thanks a lot

Users says

In the diagram at "Product"> "Description" the "Short description" of the product is now used. In many webshops (most?) there is little or no information in this field that relates to the product concerned (for example: "Delivery time 2 working days" or "choose a size / size"). This is due to the limited space available in most wordpress themes (that is where the product image and the order button usually appear next to the product image). So it would be very nice for many shop owners if the "Long description" is used as standard in the product diagram instead of the "Short description".

Or alternative proposal: A choice option in the Yoast WooCommerce plugin to manually change the (product) Description output to Long or Short description.

I'm also experiencing this issue. Has there been any progress on this?
