Adding an OpenSearch description allows searching for entities directly from the search bar/Omnibox

Isn't SQID querying Wikidata, and therefore this issue should be opened against Wikidata?

If you would like a quick way to search SQID I would recommend looking into how to add custom search engines to your browser

Adding a custom search engine to a browser is precisely what an OpenSearch description allows you to do. We also want to have one in SQID, even though it queries Wikidata, because we want to have the resulting item displayed in SQID, not on Wikidata itself.
