Requested in the Tribler Forum

Many torrent clients will allow you to export a torrent. However, if you exclude a ton of items from a torrent, and want to keep that specific torrent without the excluded items, there appears no way of doing it.
It would be “nice” if after excluding items in the list of items in a torrent, that when it is exported, you get it sans the excluded items.
This could make ridiculously large torrents much easier to deal with as well.
Just a nice to have, but clearly something that could be added in Tribler with ease…I think.

Since we create a new torrent anyway when exporting the torrent we can simply not include the excluded files.

I think it should at best be an option, i assume people want to preserve full torrents in some cases, even if they didn't include all files in their own download.

I guess, you could also reuse the "add torrent" dialog if it's possible, where you select location, and which files to include and such, when exporting the torrent file. That would allow the most flexible customization, and you could make it have your excluded files marked as not to be included in the new torrent by default.
