Deployment to production

Hello people,

I want to deploy to production and was wondering how.
The normal way would be to set the credentials for production and deploy it directly within this project right?

As I do have a strict deployment process for production which lies on a third part, we do have a problem:
For them it's not possible to deploy through a Github project (they're basically not allowed to do so).
Now my question is if it is possible to create a package like a change set or something similar and deploy the dependencies like this?
Maybe you do have any other ideas for a workaround?

We are trying to manually deploy the connector - is that possible at all?

Now we are facing problems with the package since Spring '22 update: #121.

Anybody out there who can help?

Also looking for help deploying to prod. I had intended to use the same commands that we're deploying to our sandbox, however this comment from @jbachelet suggests that this may not be possible. #121 (comment) Service cloud is new to our org so we do not have established processes to deploy to a production org.

We are also in the same boat. We just started a new project and going to use this new tool. We were also under the impression that we can simply use the same commands to do a deployment to production but it seems that is the not case.

We are also very new to SF core and do not have CI/CD pipeline setup. We are looking into using changesets but are not sure how will we move environment-specific data such as trustedSites, remote settings, named credentials, connected apps etc to production.

We are on the move to deploy to production... We try the approach to deploy the Metadata from the connector manually.
Therefore you need some Pre- and some Post deployment steps.
(e.g. you need to create the stuff from /src/sfdc/_templates after you deployed the connector content manually)
So you can't use (jump over) the deploy command for sfdc.

Right now we deployed it like this successfully on Sandboxes and activated the connector like this. Not sure if this works to production though.

Short Information on this:
We also successfully deployed to production. So the way like I said works actually.
It means more work than deploying it with the Commands from the Sync but if it's not there yet, we need to to it like this.

Oh and btw. you might need to do the SFCC build command to create and deploy settings (like services.xml) to commerce. At least we didn't find a way to do this manually.

@freytagt What are the normal steps when you deploy your metadata to production? Sounds like you were able to accomplish this manually instead of through the CLI tools. We have a new Salesforce Org so we do not have any established deployment procedures to lean on and running into issues with the CLI tool. Did you use change sets or something else?
