The idea of this set of test files is to explore the variability of different software as it constructs data in different formats. In essence, for each piece of software, we create a simple document and explore the 'Save As...' options. The goal is to document each option, and associate it with the resulting output format.
Of course, this is a helpful way of exploring the various features and options that different formats can support.
