W&D Request: Better default images for community users

It would be great if we could just use random hedgehogs as a default artwork for all community posts, to help the community feel a bit more lively and fun.

@lottiecoxon I'd love to see some non-pixelated versions of this.

• You'd get assigned a random one when you create your account
• Randomized options: character, background color
• If you don't have an avatar, you'd be able to customize both the character and the background color if you so choose
  • And potentially other options like in Hedgehog mode
    • Option in Hedgehog mode: "Set as avatar"

aka build your own hedgehog? I've wanted to do something like this for a while but it will take a lot of work to single out all the expressions, accessories, clothes etc.

I assume it would be the same as when I did it last - having one figma frame that is the same size and transparency and then all the items are placed within that size frame? Would that work?

Some really basic mockups of how it could look - took some inspo from video games/the app to try keep the branding similar but I'm sure @corywatilo can add some ✨ to this

I love this! Also how cool would it be if certain accessories etc. were unlockable in some way.

e.g. report a bug - get the bug catcher net; do some super special thing - unlock Hogzilla skin etc.

(Also how about some jokey in app purchases, e.g. $1000 for the James Hawkins Hawaiian shirt).

Big +1 to what Charles said, as I love this, it's great, we should 100% ship this.

In terms of 'Yes, and' though we'd need to also include either a default hedgehog, or ensure this system randomized and assigned a hedgehog first. Hedgehog maker is a great as a stretch goal, but the current issue to solve I think is just having a more brand-y default avatar -- even if they are all still the same as each other.

We have a lot of content made in Figma, I have separated the 'basic' ones from the ones we plan to have as unlock-able garments. This way we can ship out the randomised avatar first- I would say that if people can't edit what they've been given they may get annoyed so I would hope to ship it all at once.

@corywatilo @smallbrownbike how best can we get this moving asap?
