See how their layout compares, maybe run some speed tests on datalad-enabled bids datasets

FYI there is WIP on the pybids front to incorporate ancp-bids layout to benefit from the speed bump

bids-standard/pybids#863

not sure when this will happen but thought I would let you know

Oscar and Chris seem to have made a lot of progress on the integration, so hopefully the faster version of pybids will become available at some point early next year.

With 0.16.2, pybids should be 2-2.5x faster on large datasets.

There's also Greg Kiar and Connor Lane's new bids2table tool, which might fit with CuBIDS better.
