Set value for Content Control fields

Would be nice to set the content control fields.

This is an old issue, but I'm updating it regardless, as this might prove useful to someone. This use case seems to be supported by the default Template Processing. What I do is: enter a macro inside of the Content Control field and then I let the Template processing replace this macro. I suspect this will only work for fields that support text entry though.
