I can see the source code from src/PHPMailer.php on line 947 where you set the default for isHTML to be true.

But why if I omit the $mail->isHTML(true);, then the content sent read the HTML element as plain text? For example, it output Hello<br>Ok. ( the <br> is treated as plain text and printed )

Sorry, I thought isHTML is called by default and it is not.
