We use an OT2 desktop for PCR Prep and our students are used to and love the protocol designer.
Since there is no OT2-Hood version for sterile pipetting we have to use an older, small footprint Biohit Pipettor.
For protocol preparation we still use the protocol designer and edit the .json output to match the biohit desk layout.
It would be absolutely lovely ifthere would a possibility to define custom deck layout so the designer could be used for pipettors other than OT2. More people could use the protocol designer, the library would grow and the OT-format would become an open standard for pipetting:)
