C_FindObjects does not find keys generated by C_GenerateKeyPair without reinserting #3066
Comments
Can I do anything to move this issue forward? |
What card are you using? I see similar on OpenPGP 3.4, but I would not say reinsertion but opening new session in a different process (which is technically the same). There is discussion of my problems #3124 . |

In my program I read the public part of the keypair stored on token, then generate a new keypair and read the public key again. I'm getting the same key until I reinsert the token or restart my program.
In #3018 (comment) I was suggested to additionally call
C_DestroyObject
before generating a new keypair. This caused my program to report "no keys generated" afterC_GenerateKeyPair
finishes, which is again fixed by reinserting/restarting.Here are the logs I gathered while reproducing the issue:
I. GetPublicKey() for a previosly generated key pair
II. FindObjects + DeleteObject
III. GenerateKeyPair
IV. GetPublicKey
V. GetPublicKey (after reinserting the token)
