Problem Description

Although being correctly code signed, the macOS installer generates a warning, see #2545 . Nowadays binaries must additionally be sent to Apple for verification, i.e. notarization.

Proposed Resolution

Either manually submit the installer/uninstaller or integrate this into CI, e.g. using this guide.
