Lack of diversity in the working group #58
Comments
Link: I'll try to attend it, depends on the workload next week cc: @OCNS/software-wg |
Just registered---they also send out recordings and material after the session, so worth registering even if you cannot attend it live. |
Thanks @sanjayankur31 |
Sorry, closed this by mistake. Updated to add: we have proposed a workshop at the INCF Assembly on diversity and inclusion |

I've updated the topic to generalise it. We need to aim to not just improve the gender balance, we need to try to be more diverse in general. |
For twitter users, please follow this list: https://twitter.com/i/lists/1319510099698667520?s=20 A lot of other resources here on Fleur's page: https://fleurzeldenrust.nl/women-in-neuroscience/ |
We have discussed the matter of gender imbalance within the WG several times in our meetings, and is certainly an issue that needs to be addressed. The minutes of the last meeting will indicate some of the proposed ideas. Creating this ticket to have a place for us to discuss more focusedly on this.
As a start, I came across this announcement for a webinar next week:
Title: Horizon Europe – Quick guide to tackle gender dimension & cross-cutting issues
Date: 10 Feb
Time: 14:00 CET
Register here: https://horizoneurope.ie/event/horizon-europe-quick-guide-to-tackle-gender-dimension-and-cross-cutting-issues
It might be useful for some of us to attend this session (recordings available for those that cannot attend live) and see if we can incorporate some of their suggestions.
