After finding out about the new 5.3.1 release I decided to give it a try, however when using a dark desktop theme the user interface could definitely use some improvements:

  • Several areas show black text on dark backgrounds
  • Some parts of the interface do still have a light background
  • Some icons are barely visible on a dark background

Ran into this issue trying out Modelio with 5.3.1. Running on Ubuntu 23.04.

When opening the application with my OS set to light or dark, the theme does change accordingly. This tells me functionality does already exist, it's just not supplied to the user. I feel Modelio could at least provide some option to select a theme.

Thanks for your work developing this app. I look forward to future improvements.

Same here.
Does one know a workaround so that I can launch modelio with some kind of compatibility mode?
Like changing desktop files to use black font and white background.
Currently, I need to switch the mode every time I want to use it, which changes my KDE Default Settings.

I am using:
Kubuntu 23.10
Plasma 5.27.8
WM: KWin
Theme: Breeze Dark [Plasma], Breeze [GTK2/3]
Icons: [Plasma], breeze-dark [GTK2/3]
