CONTENT_TYPE Error

I think there should be a check to make sure CONTENT_TYPE is available before comparing it. I have a ton of errors in Raygun from these lines:

Cheers for bringing this edge case to our attention - I've got a candidate fix on the request-fix branch, if you could give that a try and confirm that it fixes the errors we can get it merged in.
