Im working on monte-carlo type density dependent flow and transport model. One thing I am varying is the concentration of the source brine (approx. 10000 to 100000) TDS.
If I use an online density calculator to get solution densities and plug these into the drhodc equation (dDensity/dConcentration) I get values around the "recommended" value for seawater ( 0.7143), however the value changes based on what my max concentration is. This is a little strange to me because from what Im seeing the relationship between density and TDS is quite linear.
My question is, should I calculate a unique drhodc for each monte-carlo scenario based on the brine concentration? I feel like I should not because this is a physical property that is pretty well constrained. Can I just calculate a drhodc based on my max concentration and use that for all runs?
