Well I would like to have redundancy instead of manualy fail-safe backup.

If we put two LibreQoS instances in the same VLAN with bridge on there would be a loop.
Did You try to run some spanning tree in LQoS in XDP?

There should be also an option to mark instance as "preffered" in ispConfig.py for that.

It's possible!

Just do:

  • two different vlans on edge router,
  • two different default routes with priority on core switch through different LQoS instances,
