analogous to Reading field in the Article content type in the Sample Site template, I am considering some content types which will be frequently updated... for these frequent updates, I do not need to maintain version history (and doing so would be both a waste of space, and unnecessarily resource intensive during queries/etc).
while I agree that history should be enabled by DEFAULT, it would be nice to be able to disable it now and then.
