@alexsanderclimatechange

I have had a simulating some climate scenarios using the interative atlas tool. I have found a detail thet showed me atenttion: to CMIP5 experiment (DATASET) is exibitted same periods than CMIP6 experiment (QUANTITY & SCENARIO). However, loocking at AR5 (CMIP5) and AR6 (CMIP6), is possible check using of diferent periods for each Assessment Report. Is this a tool mistake? Thanks a lot.

Thank you for reporting. In principle, this is not a mistake. The Interactive Atlas allows a flexible selection of the baseline period, including the official AR5 (1986-2005) and AR6 (1994-2014) periods, among others. In those cases where the historical experiment (e.g. CMIP5 for the AR6 baseline) does not fully cover the baseline period, scenario-data is used to complete the information (see IPCC AR6-WGI Atlas chapter, Atlas.1.3.1; https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/chapter/atlas).
