on the hugging face "en-mul" page you could use >>language id goes here<< and the sentence but it doesn't seem to work with opus cat.

Hi,

OPUS-CAT will add the language id automatically based on the target language value it receives in the API call. So if you have a model with e.g. Uralic languages as target languages, you can output the Finnish translation by using fi as language code and the Estonian translation by using et. When using the Translate with model tab, the target language which has been selected from the dropdown will be used for selecting the target code. So no need to add language ids manually.

Btw. some of the multilingual models might not work with the current version, there are some inconsistencies with the configuration files which might affect their use. The pre-release version 1.2.3 fixes some of the problems, but not all.
