Hello

I've just had some really disappointing results with a customised MT engine.

I have checked that I used the right TM to train it, and that I used the right trained TM for the job (prioritized and override model to be very sure)

So I think the poor results are down to Opus but I really would like some kind of confirmation that the MT translations are indeed coming from the trained TM and that nothing has gone wrong prior to this.

But Fiskmo is weak here. The MT translations in memoQ simply say "Fiskmo plugin" with absolutely no other information.

So it's pretty impossible to see if there is a problem with Fiskmo using the wrong TM.

Just for your info and perhaps a comment to help me.

Thanks for your input again, displaying the model name is a feature which I've been intending on adding to the plugin (I think the initial Trados plugin might have had that feature, but I took it out for some reason). I'll need to do some changes to both the plugins and the engine to implement this, though, so it will need to wait for the next release.

If you have the MT caching enabled, you can work around the problem by checking what the latest entry in the MT cache is, there is a field for model name there. The MT cache is a Sqlite database by the name of translations.sqlite, and it's located in the OPUS-CAT data directory (easiest way to find the directory is to open some model directory and then go up three directory levels). So if you translate one segment in memoQ, you can then check which model OPUS-CAT has used to translate it:
