Translation test not working - source.bpe file missing #17
Comments
Hi, Thanks for your report, this is a problem which unfortunately seems to occur to many, but I haven't been able to trace all the bugs that might cause it (spaces in the path of the models cause this bug, but your model path does not seem to contain spaces). There are two kinds of models that are supported, older ones that use BPE segmentation and newer ones with SentencePiece segmentation. The model you have installed uses SentencePiece segmentation, so it should be used with the StartSentencePieceMtPipe.bat script instead of the StartMosesBpeMtPipe.bat script (so the cause of the source.bpe error is that the script you used is not intended for these models). Could you run the model again with the StartSentencePieceMtPipe.bat script? There are also log files in %localappdata%/opuscat/logs, they might have something related to this issue. -Tommi |
Hi, There's a new release of OPUS-CAT available, which fixes several bugs related to the translation test not working. You can download it from here. -Tommi |
Hi,
Installed the application and downloaded a model, but the translation test doesn't actually get going. When I try via PowerShell, it looks like I'm missing a source.bpe file, which is indeed not present in the model folder (see below)
Thanks for your feedback!
