Hi Mats, do you have the MT engine running on your computer when you are using the Trados plugin? |

Hi Tommi,
It seems I did not... I must have closed it without thinking about it. Thanks for alerting me!

Hi Tommi,
When I create a desktop icon for the exe file, this icon does not work. Starting it from within the file manager always works. Why this difference?
Another strange thing: When I try to delete the shortcut, I get this message: "Cannot fulfil the action because the file is open in OpusCatMTEengine.exe". But the exe file is not running, so what could this mean? (The only way to delete the icon is to restart the computer and then delete.)
Best regards,
Mats

Hi Mats, I can't reproduce problem, shortcuts seem to work on my computer. One possibility that comes into mind based on the error message is that perhaps you have created a shortcut for the OpusCatMTEngine.exe.config file, which contains the configuration of the MT engine. -Tommi |

Hi Tommi,
Nope; the shortcut is for the engine.exe file. But as I added on the github site, it works if I put it on the task bar, which is satisfactory to me.
In case you did not notice it, I also would like to see somewhere an explanation of the data for the download language pair zip files -- perhaps not so much what they mean (many users are probably familiar with BLEU) but what the actual measurements mean: what is good and what is less good.
I am anyway very much impressed by OPUS.
Regards,
Mats

"No connection to OPUS-CAT MT Engine at localhost:8477". I have installed four engines as described in the instructions and also used Translate with model successfully. But when I select Use custom connection (and then see the options 8477 and localhost and save it as default, it does not help: I still get the same error message. And retrying connection does not help. What can I do?
