Also I just literally installed the plugin hours ago, so I'm doubtful there is already a new version.

That's very weird. No, there's no new version of the plugin. I've set the metadata for the plugin (which governs the plugin updates) according to the instructions from SDL, so I guess I'll have to contact them to see what's going on.

I think your Studio 2017 plugin is version 1.0.2. Maybe something is being crossed between versions of SDL Trados?

That seems to be the case. The SDL instructions concerning the versions are pretty dense, it seems you're supposed to use different version numbering in the AppStore versus the plugins themselves. I've used different versions consistently, so that's probably the reason this update notification is shown.

This issue should be fixed now, I got some help from SDL's Paul Filkin. The plugin files are now hosted by SDL, as this is required for the update functionality to work. I've tested that Studio does not report a new version being available any more.
