Paint() replacement doesn't reliably take place in CSS Modules

Sometimes, a paint() value doesn't get swapped in a composed CSS Module, or in a CSS Module that is used on multiple nodes. It's hard to pin down the exact circumstances where this happens, and they vary in Safari and Firefox.

This doesn't occur in nodes that have a dedicated class that contains paint().
