gmt grdtrack @ship_15.txt -q1-100 -G@earth_relief_06m -Ra

In the command above it is useful to define the region of the profile because otherwise the whole remote datasets are download.

I try it but it didn't work,

grdtrack [WARNING]: No country code matching a (skipped)
grdtrack (GMT_grdtrack): Subset y range <= 0.0

Note that this will be incomplete at best. I cannot easily determine the proper region for -E and/or specifications creating a swath of tracks with -C. So not sure how useful it might be to just do this based on an input file, if given.

Ok. I see. I was thinking in using for the input file directly.

I am using this to get the region in my scripts: REGION=$(gmt info tmp_sample1d -I+e0.1)
