Log into the CP. Click on the Categories link in the left sidebar. EE appears to have some javascript appending a URI segment called /group/ and a group_id number to the end of the link.

My URI is: /edit.php?/cp/categories/group/12

The challenge is that I don't have a group ID of 12 in this install, so instead of erroring out, EE incorrectly states that this install doesn't have any category groups, and it actually has 8 of them.

I tested in another browser and a different install of EE, and it's pre-selecting group_id 1, but not every site is going to have a group_id of 1 if that group was, at some point, deleted.

My expectation is that none of the category groups would be pre-selected when I click on the Categories link in the sidebar.

EE v6.3.2 (using MSM)
PHP 7.4.28
MySQL 5.7.37

So I did some digging and /group/12 does exist in another MSM site within the same install. For some reason, the scrip didn't notice I had switched sites.

Just nothing that I wasn't able to replicate this so far. Perhaps certain combination of user actions is needed
