Is there any plan on extending the current api-based evaluation to handle more requests concurrently for acceleration?

Yes, we'd like to do so but are bandwidth constrained--if you are interested in working on this it'd be very helpful!

#1460 provides concurrency for OpenAI models, and I need to review it--if you would also like to review it feel free to!
