C images pull in the googletest framework as they're needed for unit testing C/C++ code.

However, as Python images use the C images as a base (but without the HOME variable set), the googletest folder ends up in /root/googletest.

Remove this folder in the Python Dockerfiles.
Also run autoremove to save some space.
