We do have user-controlled content that makes in straight into the public site. There should be a way to get admin attention on this. It could email admins?

Emailing the admin sounds fine.

We should also log requests with at very least IP and url for a) record keeping and b) blocking potential rogue bots, etc which could trigger the alert.
