Meta Table Update

I'm using the meta table in my script to determine what the current week is. However, I'm not sure the meta table is updating quite as fast as I'd like. I ran nfldb update today and it seems the meta table is still stuck on week 1.

Does this have something to do with the gamecenter not providing the correct date?

The current week is determined by this URL: http:https://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/scorestrip/ss.xml

When you run nfldb-update, I believe this URL is always pinged for the latest hit. So it seems NFL.com isn't updating the week as quickly as you want. (Indeed, going to the homepage still shows the scores from last week.)

I believe the week updates on Wednesday (tomorrow).

I don't have any plans to change this. Your code could certainly take some liberty to move on to the next week more quickly, but I'm going to stay in sync with NFL.com.
