"Make scripting library search bidirectional"?

I left a note with this name in my big checklist some time ago, and distinctly remember it corresponding to a good idea, but it just looks like nonsense to me now. I need to figure out what it meant, and then if it's still a good idea that I haven't done yet, do it.

The scripting library definitely refers to searching documentation with .f and .c, but it has no real sense of direction.
