I'm Jeff and I am the developer of the static website generator Trio. I was driven to develop Trio because I wanted to simplify how I create static websites. Having used various front-end frameworks and templating engines to create static websites left me desiring a simpler and more direct approach to the process. I really only wanted to rely on the three foundations of the web, meaning HTML, CSS and JavaScript, to get the job done. I believed then and I still believe now that this is a better approach. I hope you share that opinion with me but even if you do not I would still love to hear from you.
Trio is continuing to change and grow and as the project becomes larger and more complex your opinions and ideas will become even more valuable. So please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas here. Start a discussion or join an existing one. There are no restrictions on what you can discuss here so long as you are respectful towards others and, of course, that it pertains to Trio. Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
We’re using Discussions as a place to connect with those members of the community who are:
Currently using Trio to create static websites.
Considering using Trio to create static websites.
Curious about Trio in general.
Have a specific question, such as "How can I implement 'xyz' with Trio?" or "I did 'this' but it isn't working. Why?".
Wondering if what they are experiencing is a bug.
Wanting to share how they used Trio to implement some feature on their website. Remember, Trio is very open-ended, and often there are numerous ways to accomplish the same thing. Your contribution may inspire others to use it as well.
Wanting to express what they like or don't like about Trio. Remember, though, we are open to every suggestion you may have that will make Trio a better tool, but Trio represents a very opinionated approach to building static websites, and, as such, requests that deviate from those opinions will be welcomed but heavily weighed against those opinions.
We hope that you:
Ask questions that you’re wondering about.
Share ideas.
Engage with other community members.
Welcome others and are open-minded. Remember that this is a community we
build together 💪.
I can't wait to meet and participate with you all.
