Xbox partners with LG to bring Xcloud to their 2025 range of smart TVs via the Xbox App
This latest partnership will also allow XGP Ultimate subscribers to stream select non-Game Pass titles via their TVs.
In their continued effort to turn every screen on the planet into an Xbox, Microsoft has today revealed a partnership with LG, to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to the latter's 2025 range of smart TVs.
This year's lineup of LG devices is yet to launch, so don't go rushing out to buy a new TV just yet, especially with the South Korean tech manufacturer adding noting the "service and country availability will be announced at a later date."
And, as you might've guessed, given Microsoft's lofty ambitions, this isn't actually an exclusive arrangement with LG — nor is it the first. Users of select Samsung smart TVs have been able to access Xcloud via the Xbox App for a couple of years now.
However, you might recall that Xbox began opening up their game-streaming service late last year, with Ultimate subscribers now able to play select owned games from their own catalogs via Xcloud, not just Game Pass titles (as was previously the case).
Well, this partnership with LG marks the arrival of that particular feature to TVs. And although Microsoft only confirmed it for LG's 2025 roster of smart TVs in this Wire post, we expect it to also arrive on Samsung devices with access to the Xbox App too.
This means Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play their games directly from the Xbox app on supported LG Smart TVs via Xbox Cloud Gaming

Of course, you don't need one of LG's 2025 smart TVs to make the most of Microsoft's gaming subscription service.
