Can't find an intersection point on an arc line

Hello!

I am trying to make one line to attach to an arc line (see below photos). I've tried to "join" the whole object, sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't...it is just not showing a "green X" on the point where  I want the line to be attached.

And when I stratched the line to attach to the interection point with another arc line (see below photo where the red point is). It seems like the green X doesn't detect on the right point...

It is also really weird that if I zoom into the object and it shows like this (see below first photo), so then I use "REDRAW" but still not working...it should look more like this when I zoom in...arc lines are more smoother (see below second photo). Just wondering is it because I didn't turn on any setting that it should be on?

Thank you for your big help!!!

Hi,

Isn't it so that you're supposed to use Tangent and not intersection when connecting between to circle/arc?

You can regen to make the circle smoother when zooming in.

You can also set "VIEWRES" to higher value such as 10000, which makes the circle look more smooth.

Intersection is when two existing elements intersect each other and that intersecting point is what you are looking for. For your case it should be tangent snap what you are looking for. Switch on the tangent snap in the object snap option and have a try.

That is definitely the solution to the kinkiness of curves in the 2nd through 4th images, and would also affect the look in the 1st if that's an Arc or Circle.  Whether there's an actual intersection there to Osnap to, we can't tell from an image.

The maximum setting in VIEWRES [answer Yes to the question before it asks for a number] is 20000, and you may as well go all the way, with current computing power [the kinky display of curves was a time-saver when computers were slower].  But even without setting that, REGEN will smooth them out appropriately to the viewing zoom level at any time.
