At around 14:30 in the video, Lee's guitar tech shows the strings used on his guitar, showing a pack of 12-56 strings and that he "gets rid of the 56 and then we replace it with an 80 custom gauge set"

One of the guitars Lee shows off in this video is his gretsch bst. He states that he loves weird or rare guitars. He bought this guitar at chicago music exchange while on tour. He loves finding rare guitars on tour, because it is alot harder to find rare guitars in england.
"I start with the Adaptive Distortion because I use Marshall 800s...when you drive them with a good overdrive or distortion pedal they break up really well and they sound crunchy and huge," says Lee Malia, at 1:28 in this video.
Lee can be seen with a kemper in his live setup. throughout this video he states that he uses real amps, but mainly uses the kemper for added sounds. He gets his main tones through his marshall, and several pedals. he adds in album tones on top of that with the kemper that otherwise would be harder to replicate. he states that the kemper is great, but it doesn't quite have the same tone he likes from his actual amps.
