KD+GQ or TD+CL
[edit]This uncited information removed:
- In 6th May 1941, Govert Steen (pilot) Ex RNAF aircraft mechanic and resistance fighter Wim Boomsma, Fokker engineer Wijbert Lindeman and Luitenant Bealearts v Blokland, stole a T.VIIIW (R25 KD+GQ or TD+CL) in German service floating in the Amsterdam IJ and flew it to England to join the Allied forces. It was kept flight ready at Felixstowe for three years after it landed at Broadstairs for possible flights to collect resistance agents from Holland but unfortunately cancelled because of betrayal in late '44. The aircraft had been given RAF markings but no registration was ever issued. Apart from the document stating that the RAF having taken the aircraft on charge, no other documents (so far) have come to light about servicing records or even it's original German registration. My father, Wim Boomsma thought it to be KD+GQ however more recent sources state TD+CL.
