Asociația Club Sportiv Speed Academy Pitești, also known as Speed Academy Pitești, or just Speed Academy is a Romanian football club based in Pitești, Argeș County, which currently plays in Liga III, the third tier of Romanian football.

History

[edit]

Speed Academy Pitești was established in 2019 and started playing in Liga V – Argeș County guided by Mihai Răduță from the bench, being in 2nd place in the Center Series, 8 points behind ACS Oarja, when the season was suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania.[1][2][3]

However, Speed Academy was accepted in the 2021–22 season of the Liga IV – Argeș County, the first full season post pandemic, finishing in 5th place.

In the 2022–23 Liga IV Season, the club finished in second place, having the same number of points with ARO Muscelul Câmpulung.

In the following season the club finished first place and promoted to the third tier, beating CSL Nanov, Teleorman County champions.[4][5]
