Machhra is an ancient village situated in Meerut district. It is situated 1.5 km from Meerut Garh road. From Meerut distance of village is approximately 21 km. Machhra is well known for education in adjacent area. Chaudhary Shivnath Singh Shandilay College is situated in Machhra which offers educational programs since 1953. Machhra has two banks, one post office and one block. In village mostly Tyagi, Sharma, Gurjars and schedule caste communities mainly resides. Total population is expected to be near 14000-15000.
