Question

"Among the rubble, our main character's, Ethan Waber, sister, Lumia Waber, would be the only one alive to survive the initial attack." Is it just me, or does this really need to be reworded? Vancar 21:37, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've reworded it. I think it's apparent that the main character is Ethan Waber. Also, "one alive to survive" is a bit redundant, so I changed that as well. Vancar 18:41, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PSP

So, now that Phantasy Star Portable for the PSP has been announced, I guess it requires a mention here (it's the third part to PSU's series). Kirbysuperstar (talk) 15:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release Dates

Someone fix my release date for Australia please. I'm at a loss.

SEGA references

Someone should write that a beast's nanoblast is a reference to the old game Altered Beast and the news lady Hal from story mode is a reference to Space Channel 5 (she works at channel 5 in space, etc.) Just an idea. --207.59.74.66 10:12, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My bad, just looked over and saw that Space Channel 5 is already on there. --207.59.74.66 10:14, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remote/Local?

As one of the many poor neglected gamers who happen to live in the UK (exact same game as the US, just yonks later), I don't have PSU yet. Can anyone tell me whether your character data is stored locally or server-side? IE, if I decide I want to stop paying for a while, do I lose my online character? Presumably some of the data must be stored locally because there's an offline game as well, but since Sonic Team has so many problems with corruption on the GC with PSO I thought they might not do that. Any idea? Thanks. --Aceizace 14:04, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Character data for online mode is stored server-side. You can make a character for Extra mode, which is sorta like the online mode offline, except it only has the free missions from the offline. Eusis 15:51, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Features section

This section needs to be updated from its current past tense status - the game is out in practically all regions now, so we all know what's new and what's not, so it needs to be more comprehensive. I'd do it myself, but I can't really figure out what needs doing. Namillus 12:12, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers in the characters scetion

The characters section contains some pretty big spoilers. Maybe using the spoiler tags is in order. 71.226.17.185 01:41, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the usefulness of the character section at all.Dynendal 02:33, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Me either for that matter. A synopsis of the entire story (not just the beginning part) would be more suitable. 71.226.17.185 09:59, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

nProtect Rootkit

The PC version of this game, features a "copy protection" program called nProtect GameGuard. The version that cames with this game is nothing but a rootkit which takes control over user's PC resulting in the fact that game can not be shutdown by normal means, (ALT+F4). nProtect GameGuard runs at very low level, really close to kernel, this gives it the ability to work on the same or even lower levels then Antivirus programs, thus giving nProtect GameGuard the ability to scan all of PC's memory at will. I believe this information should be included, as it is vital.

Simply stating that this program is included in the installation and is of a questionable nature would be sufficient, the specifics belong in GameGuard's article. 71.226.17.185 09:40, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

I'm pretty sure someone has screwed with the page. Granted I've only played the demo but I'm pretty sure there isn't any ASS, BJs or "Infinite Pee-Pee" in the game. Plus I'm sure the tit;e wasn't decided by an illeterate 3rd grader. I might be wrong but we might wanna check on these "facts". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.184.26.226 (talk) 07:57, 25 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Expansion

This page needs a huge update, since the news about updates and the upcoming expansion pack is not even mentioned anywhere on the article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.254.171.252 (talk) 19:57, 11 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Sounds like a plan, there's not too much information out so far though. However I do believe there is enough to warrant a small section mentioning some of the new features such as auto-following, new weapon types (whips, madoogs/shadoogs, slicers, etc) and how job types have been rebalanced. I suppose the issue is that so far the only information available is from English speaking players that have Japanese beta accounts and are violating their NDAs by posting that information on sites such as PSO-World. Basically there's no references on expansion information other than these people's experiences with the game. -- AVX 14:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The expansion really deserves an article of its own, since it is a whole new (offline) game, besides the online content. Or should it stay in this article? RobLinwood 21:08, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would a "Critical reception" section be worth considering for the expansion? --71.156.91.250 15:27, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion section needs to be reworded. Its full of opinion and sounds like an advertisement. And why give the expansion, which isn't even out yet, a critical reception section, when the main game doesn't have one? 68.59.157.132 01:10, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Critical reception?

Much as I like to see the series do well, there is not a lot of positive press for PSU and I think it's important to discover why that is exactly.

Characters

This page could benefit greatly from a character digestion page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.156.16.232 (talk) 19:21, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Magashi =/= Dark Falz reincarnate

Nowhere, I repeat NOWHERE does it say in the story that Magashi was a reincarnation of Dark Falz. If it does, feel free to tell me to GTFO your interwebz as you fix the edit. In the meantime, I've edited out the sentence in where it says Magashi is a Dark Falz reincarnate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by XXCrocmonXx (talkcontribs) 14:39, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Xbox Live Vision Camera "controversy"

Its not really a controversy, but I've definitely seen more than a few people, at least within the demo, selling pornography using the camera. Does anyone think this is remotely relevant?Moocowsrule (talk) 03:51, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Moocowsrule[reply]

I do not believe this would benefit the article. Most games have a "controversy" such as this. It can be quite a common thing and is unrelated to the purpose of the game, therefore I do not see why it would be needed. --Neutralle (talk) 15:27, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reference and sources!

Could everyone try to link references to the information contained within this article? There is an extreme lack (zero) of referenced material. I have therefore placed the relevant banner at the top of the page. --Neutralle (talk) 15:45, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NPC Listing

Is this addition to the article really necessary? It does not help give information about the game but rather parts of it which is useful only to people that play the game. This information should really belong on PSUPedia which at present it is. --Neutralle (talk) 11:22, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

agreed. in fact instead of finding external links for characters we should try to make a character article for them.Bread Ninja (talk) 17:39, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Convert NPC Listing to Characters section

The article at the moment doesn't really describe what characters are within the game and their names. The current 'Non-playable characters' section should be changed to a Characters section listing each main characters name and a short explanation about their relevance to the story.

Also, the current edit war should be stopped immediately. There shouldn't be a section listing only NPC characters, BUT there should be a section listing the main characters relevant to the story. Phynicen "Chat" 13:34, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
