The Hira Mountains (比良山地, Hira-sanchi) are a mountainous region to the west of Lake Biwa on the boarder of Shiga Prefecture and Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. The highest peak is Mount Bunagatake with an elevation of 1,214.4 meters.
