The 2028 Democratic Party presidential primaries were a primary election held between March 3 and July 11, 2028. The primary was held for the Democratic Party and resulted in the nomination of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who would subsequently be elected President of the United States during the 2028 United States presidential election.

Among the initial candidates during the race for the primaries included Governor Whitmer, former Vice President Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, former United States Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, California Representative Ro Khanna
