Alternate form?

Is the alternate form the traditional and this version simplified? Badagnani 20:06, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Technically speaking, 僊 is a traditional (or archaic) form for 仙. However, in modern times, 仙 is used in both traditional and simplified writing.

Graphical Significance and Origin

I strongly advise against the deletion of the Graphical Significance and Origin section for this character. This is of great educational importance. Badagnani 19:29, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Agree -- what is graphical significance? It looks like "man" + "mountain." Does this come from, "man of/on the mountain," or "man long-lived like mountain?" Thanks.

More messy not-quite-vandalism from enthusiastic-but-not-very-clueful IP users.
