Paleolith
Suggestion
editHey, you may wish to jump in on this monster, as it touches on some of the issues you mentioned in the mountain project Wikipedia talk:Citing sources#References for geographical features
- Thanks. Yes, I had followed that link and read the material. I didn't mention it because although I'll use it in making the changes, it didn't really discuss my question.
- Now I'm looking at the question of the USGS coordinates are presumably NAD27 (haven't verified this yet but most topo quads are NAD27) but "coord" wants WGS84, no option. So I need a batch conversion facility. Nyergh.
- Well, following up myself, I disovered that the BGN database info is all NAD83 (converted in 2005), so I don't need to convert it.Paleolith (talk) 05:14, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Pale Blue Dot
editA third opinion was requested on the matter. I realize you haven't been on the page in a while, but you should be interested I think. → ROUX ₪ 19:07, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Tom Toles
editIt was an error of me to not include a reference to the first sentence to the Tom Toles page after I changed his status to retired and past tense. I added the named referenced from the section of his page that was edited to show where he retired. Cheers. P37307 (talk) 20:54, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. I read more carefully and deleted my comment. It was an ironic coincidence: I saw his Oct 31 cartoon (on gocomics there was nothing about it being his last), wondered how old he is, and looked him up. Hence my confusion ... ;-) Paleolith (talk) 23:23, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
