Welcome to Ferien's talk page. I will generally respond here to comments that are posted here, rather than replying via your talk page (or the article's talk page, if you are writing to me here about an article), so you may want to watch this page until you are responded to, or let me know where specifically you'd prefer the reply. I will try to WP:PING you as well. Conversely if you are replying to something I've said on another talk page, reply there and include {{ping|Ferien}} to alert me. |

Question from Johntheschmo (07:55, 25 October 2024)
editHey Ferien! As you can see in my history, I've been struggling to understand how WP:NPOVN works in practice. Can you please provide insights as to how exactly neutrality should be implemented when a topic is so contentious? Thanks --Johntheschmo (talk) 07:55, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Johntheschmo, welcome to Wikipedia. I'd personally stay away from these areas for the time being, until you have experience with WP:NPOV outside of contentious areas. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 16:32, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

Question from Mirvanamilano (10:00, 7 November 2024)
editGood morning. Mirvana is an Italian brand, and we want to publish about Mirvana on Wikipedia. How is this possible, please? I don't want to do anything that's against the rules, but I do know that brands are allowed over here, and I do want to write about ours. It's https://lemirvana.com (find us on IG by @mirvanamilano ) - Also a second question, if we want to publish an article about the founder? - she's doing many different businesses and she wants to be found online with all the information she wants to share, not randomly what different publications would post, and Wikipedia is the best place for this. Please let me know for both. Thank you! --Mirvanamilano (talk) 10:00, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi Ferien,
I wanted to check in on the Sandbox entry I made for Bryan Wells. I tried to best mimic the approved pages from his main collaborator, the late Ron Miller to ensure the content was direct, sourced, and hit a high standard. I'm curious about what kind of time frame it takes to approve pages. --MOWM (talk) 22:53, 11 November 2024 (UTC)

Question from Mirvanamilano (11:09, 19 November 2024)
editHi. We are a registered Italian luxury brand, and we'd like to establish ourselves by having a Wikipedia page of our brand - Mirvana (our company is registered in Italy as Mirvana Srl, and the brand is also registered in Italy). I remember many years ago when I was contributing to history related articles, that my back-then mentor said, that brands and companies can have their own pages posted on Wikipedia with external link to them. Our brand is in the luxury sector, and it's going to be here for a long time, so I want to check where and how I can publish it on Wikipedia? --Mirvanamilano (talk) 11:09, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Hello Ferien. I made a major edit and was wondering what the process is for it to be posted. Thanks. --Kicab (talk) 16:22, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Question from Brierforest1 on Temple tax (18:12, 29 November 2024)
editI do not believe this entry is correct. The ancient Levites were exempt from The Temple Tax in ancient Israel as they were not counted in the census and were priests. The Levite tribe was the priestly tribe and separated into Cohens who were a higher priestly family that are descendents of Aaron. The Levites that served The Temple. --Brierforest1 (talk) 18:12, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

Question from Jerome Alfred Serwas on Talk:Q&A (Symantec) (23:28, 1 December 2024)
editHello Used Q&A4.0 ~ circa 1990. Age 82, poor eyesight and new technology has me wonder if BroadCom or competitor may have reproduced Q&A4.0 for use on Windows 11 ? Still the 3.5" floppies except that it is not compatible with 64 bit and Symantec introduced protective security for business clientele. Thank You. Question from BlizzardHero (10:38, 14 December 2024)
editHello, quick question about linking to external resources. How granular should external links be? To illustrate, two examples: an oral history collection about a town linked to the page for said town (for which none of the interviewees should receive their own page), and a single audio recording in an archival database.
In the first case, oral history collections might be conducted about a subject, but might be too broadly related in their subject focus. In the second case, the resource might be too granular and thus not worth linking to. I couldn't find clarifying examples in the external links guide page, so I'm sorry for asking. Thanks! --BlizzardHero (talk) 10:38, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
