[origin: WO2012069712A1] A wrapping machine comprises a transfer and accumulation device DTA comprising an accumulator element 20 on which a part of the sleeve is wound, and a mechanism 21 for spacing apart the open end of the sleeve following transfer to the covering station 13. According to the invention, a programmable control device 34 determines the position and/or the inclination angle of the supply axis of the load by synchronizing the control for positioning the transfer device DTA with the data relating to the position of the load CH. This results in positioning of said transfer device in a manner depending on the spatial position of the load to be wrapped.
