[origin: EP0307350A2] This insulator permitting the insulation of conductor wires in relation to their support posts comprises a plastic securing device (4) gripping the wire in a support (5) also made of plastic so as to tension the wire. The support also comprises two lugs which make it possible, by means of a jumper, to grip a conductive strip. The shape of the screw heads may be designed so as to reinforce the open portion (5) of the support (1) made of plastic.
