Dhalwangu is a Yolngu clan affiliated with Dhay'yi N118 and Yirritja moiety (Wilkinson 1991:13 and Schebeck 2001:15).

Schebeck reports that Dhalwaŋu (N143.1) people have adopted Nuŋubuyu N128 as their language and they are called Nuŋudulpuy ( or possibly Nhuŋudulpuy) N116.Y (2001:17). He describes other uses of different names for the same entity, citing Nharrkala N116.U as a name used when talking about old fights whilst Dhalwaŋu (N143.1) is used in daily life (Schebeck, 2001:47).
