Acquisition (Enabling the ETL process)

The first aspect is to allow access to the data that is stored within the platform for extraction. We enable organizations to access their data in the following ways.

• Customers can extract their data using APIs from our cloud databases.
• For customers who needs more flexibility and openness we provide them full access to a replicated database. This access is coupled with detailed data dictionaries.
• The third more mundane way for customers is to download a SQL dump of the database at their convenience.

The database access is ideal for organizations who have their own private data warehouses and concomitant expertise and tools, who do not want to rely on others.

Storage (Access to our data warehouse)

The blue HIT platform offers prebuilt data warehouses that are modelled on commonly used standards and features. Organizations can connect their own BI/BA tools to these warehouses to run their own analytics. We understand the various organizations have existing licensing or preferences for certain tools, and this would be the best way for them to use those tools.

Analyze/Process (Use our BI tool)

The blue HIT platform offers a BI tool that is connected to the blue HIT platform’s data warehouses. Organizations can benefit with this service without having to invest substantially in building their own data warehouse or BI/BA tools.

The goal is to provide organizations with flexibility in how or how much of the platform they want to use. They could use just the data extraction service, or the data warehouses, or the entire stack which includes the BI/BA tool.
