Atletico Madrid and Chelsea played to a scoreless draw in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

Atletico, despite carrying much of the play, could only muster a few half-chances while Chelsea recorded just a single shot on target.

Courtois: Was only called upon to make a pair of straightforward saves.

Juanfran: Marauded down the right and completed an eye-popping 98% of his passes.

Miranda: Distribution was sub-par, but he didn’t put a foot wrong in the centre of defense.

Godin: Made three tackles on the defensive side of the ball.

F.Luis: Won each and every one of his aerial battles.

Koke: Didn’t make nearly the impact he will have hoped.

R.Garcia: Atletico’s primary target-man also committed himself defensively.

Cole: Quite evident it’s his first start in three months.

Mikel: Made an important intervention to prevent Raul Garcia springing Diego Costa.

D.Luiz: Distribution has been appalling.

Lampard: Just 22 touches so far.

Ramires: His shot on a Chelsea counter was laughable.

Willian: Only 17 touches but a strong period defensively from the Brazilian.

Torres: Showing a willingness to track back.

Schwarzer: Came into the line of fire but has only had a single save to make.

Cech: Has a separated shoulder.

Azpilicueta: Made an absolutely vital challenge on Koke early in the second half.

Cahill: Had to be especially sturdy following Terry’s injury.

Terry: Substituted midway through the second half with a foot injury.
